Sherid -tyyliset lapaset (Sherid like mittens)

Lapaset valmistuivat jo muutama päivä sitten – tuli hyvät ja sopivat. Ne näyttävät kuvassa pidemmiltä ja kapeammilta kuin oikeasti ovat. Tulevat varmasti käyttöön talvella.

The mittens were finished a few days ago – they are fine and fit well. In the picture they look longer than they really are. I will certainly wear them in the winter.

Suunnitelmia (Plans)

Piti vielä kertoa parista neulesuunnitelmasta. Selasin Garnstudion tämän syksyn malleja ja parista innostuin ihan oikeasti. Ensin näin tämän pipon, vai onko se ennemminkin hattu. No sama se, kumpi nyt onkaan, kivalta se näyttää joka tapauksessa. Ruskea voisi olla hyvä väri.

Toiseksi huomasin mekon, jollaisen ehdottomasti haluan. Mekon lanka vaan pitäisi vaihtaa alpakasta johonkin toiseen, jottei se ole liian kuuma sisällä. Väri voisi olla joku lämmin, esimerkiksi tummempi punainen. Tästä saattaa vielä tulla tonttumekko :-)

I meant to tell about my knit plans. I took a quick look at Garnstudio’s models of this autumn and got exited of a couple of them. First I saw this hat that I like a lot. Brown might be a good colour.

The other one is a dress, which I absolutely want to knit. The yarns should be changed from alpaca to some other, so that it would not be too warm when worn indoors. The color could be warm, maybe a bit darker red. This might turn into a dress of an elf :-)

Sherid-pipo (Sherid hat)

Sherid-pipo valmistui jo sunnuntaina, mutta vasta tänään sain otettua siitä kuvan ulkona hyvällä valolla. Kyllä minä sunnuntaina heti pipoa kuvasin, mutta silloin oli niin hämärää, että kamera otti automaattisalaman käyttöön. Nyt sain paremman kuvan.

Nyt minulla on tekeillä samasta mallista muokatut lapaset. Lanka on myös sama, eli Gjestal Maija. Montaa iltaa ei varmaan mene, ennen kuin tumputkin ovat valmiit.

Sherid hat was finished on Sunday, but only today was I able to take a picture of it outside in a good light. I already took pictures on Sunday, but it was not light enough, and the automatic flash light came to use. So, this is a better picture.

I have adjusted the pattern and now similar mittens are on process. The yarn is also the same, Gjestal Maija. It will probably not take too many nights to finish them.

Myrtle Leaf ja Sherid (Myrtle Leaf and Sherid)

Geena tuli auttamaan Myrtle Leaf:n kuvauksessa. Se piti ystävällisesti kiinni koko ajan väärään suuntaan vinksottavasta puikosta ja vähän huivin yläreunastakin. Eihän tuo huivi vieläkään kovin pitkällä ole, mutta on sitä nyt melkein tuplamäärä edelliseen bloggaukseen verrattuna.

Geena helped me with photographing the Myrtle Leaf Shawl. She kindly held a needle, which otherwise would have been in bad place. I have not knit the shawl too much yet, but there is about a twice the amount of it than when I last time blogged a picture of it.

Sherid –pipo on melkein puolessa välissä. Sekä malli että minulle uusi Maija–lanka ovat mukavia neuloa ja työ etenee hyvää vauhtia. Täytyy verrata kokoa johonkin vahaan pipoon, kun äkkiseltään mittaamalla ja ohjeen mukaan tehtynä siitä vaikuttaisi tulevan liian korkea. Mittauksesta riippuen teen joko enää kesken olevan mallikerran tai vielä toisenkin ennen kuvion muutoksen alkua.

I have knit nearly half of the Sherid hat. Both the model and Maija yarn, which is new for me, are nice to knit and the hat is progressing in a good speed. I have to compare the size with some old hat, because it seems like the hat would get too high, if I just follow the instructions. Depending of the outcome, I will either finish this motif or knit yet another one before the pattern change.
